Lakewood Movers

Our own Denver crew packs, loads, and moves Lakewood homes — from older Green Mountain ranches to Belmar condos.

If you ask Karen which suburb fills the calendar fastest, Lakewood is near the top — mostly because the people we move there tend to call us back and hand our number to a neighbor. It sits right on Denver’s western edge off 6th Avenue and US-6, close enough that we’re out there most weeks, and it rewards a crew that already knows the difference between a Green Mountain split-level and a Belmar condo.

Off US-6 and 6th we work 80214, 80226, and 80228 regularly. The mid-century ranches up around Green Mountain bring split-entry stairs and tight basement turns; the condos and townhomes by Belmar bring elevators, shared docks, and a building manager to coordinate with. Our own uniformed crew handles both, start to finish, and protects the corners, hallways, and elevator pads along the way — a scuffed common area is how you lose a deposit.

  • On file and in good standing: US DOT/MC authority plus our Colorado PUC household-goods mover permit — fully insured
  • Your price comes in writing, plain as day — read the whole thing, there’s no fine print working against you
  • The trucks are ours and so are the movers — Joe’s uniformed crew, start to finish

Ask Joe for your flat price

Tell us a little about the move, and the team at our South Broadway office sends one firm price for all of it straight back — almost always inside the hour, and never a penny owed for the asking.

Lakewood is a study in contrasts, and we move all of it. There are the mid-century ranches and split-levels up around Green Mountain, the walkable condos and townhomes by Belmar, and the older established streets closer to Sloan’s Lake and the Denver line. Off US-6 and 6th Avenue we hit 80214, 80226, and 80228 week in and week out, and the same uniformed crew handles your job start to finish.

Those Green Mountain ranches often come with split-entry stairs and tight basement turns, while the Belmar condos mean elevators, shared loading zones, and a building manager to coordinate with. Our movers have done both hundreds of times — we pad the corners, protect the elevator, and reserve the dock so the loading half of the day doesn’t fall apart.

Lakewood weather is classic Front Range: a foot of wet March snow one week, intense high-altitude sun the next. We keep the walks clear and the floors covered, and on the hot days the crew works steady so nothing gets dropped on a sweaty stretch up from a basement.

Moving to Lakewood — what people want to know

Can you handle the split-level ranches up on Green Mountain?
Constantly — those split-entries with a half-flight up to the bedrooms and a half-flight down to a finished basement are all over 80228. We pad the railings, work out the tight basement turns ahead of time, and take apart anything that won’t make the corner, so the stairs never turn into the part of the day that runs long.
I’m in a Belmar condo with an elevator and a loading dock — is that a hassle for you?
Not at all; we move plenty of Belmar buildings. We reach the building manager ahead of time to reserve the elevator and dock window, pad the elevator car, and lay protection through the shared halls. By the time the truck arrives the logistics are already sorted, so the move itself is just the move.
When should I get my Lakewood move on your calendar?
A week or two is comfortable, and end-of-month dates go first. When you’re ready, a $125 deposit holds your slot and comes straight off the total. If you’re in a pinch, call Karen anyway — we run six trucks and can often slot a shorter-notice job in.

Here’s how a quote works with us: text or email the two ZIP codes plus the day you’re aiming for, and you’ll usually hear back from Joe or Karen by end of day with one written number. That number is built by our own Denver crew on our own trucks — people we put on payroll and trained ourselves — and once it’s on the page, it doesn’t change on you the morning of the move.
